Tanya George is an opinionated Indian Typographer and Type Designer. After finishing her MA in Typeface design from the University of Reading, she is now based in Mumbai, India. She has over 7 years of experience in the field of Graphic Communication and Identity Design. Since her masters, she has continued her work as an independent graphic designer as well as a type design consultant. She has also been teaching typography as visiting faculty at ISDI and Pearl Academy. Along with that she also conducts TypeWalks in Mumbai. She also co-founded and co-organises Typostammtisch in Mumbai.
Dr. Sumanthri Samarawickrama is a senior lecturer at the Department of Integrated Design, Faculty of Architecture, University of Moratuwa. She has completed her PhD in the subject of Sinhala Typography. The focus of her work had been in learning the practices of Type Design and its evolution in Sri Lanka
Samadara Ginige is an award winning logo designer, and typographer. She self-studied typography and letter-forms to create custom typefaces for her logos. Samadara has won many awards including the prestigious A’ Design Award for her identity designs. Her portfolio consists of projects including logo, brand identity and typography. Samadara is currently working on creating typographic murals for indoor and outdoor locations.
Kimya Gandhi is a type designer from Mumbai with passionate interest in Indic scripts. Kimya is a partner at the type foundry Mota Italic where she specializes in creating new and innovative. Devanagari typefaces with her husband, Rob Keller. Currently she divides her time between practicing and teaching type design at various design institutes in and around Mumbai.
