Samaadhi Weerasinghe - Director of ANUK
As a staunch believer that both sustainability and style are essential ingredients in the sphere of creativity, Samaadhi Weerasinghe founded the brand 'ANUK' in pursuit of the right balance whilst working together with both, local artisans and suppliers to bring about unique products to the market with a strong sense of responsibility. She is the director for both, the Business Development sector at Oryx Benodar Ltd and The Ceylonese Apparel Company. She dabbles with various other special projects in order to promote, bring awareness and garner recognition towards local artists in an international spectrum. Due to her unique success in her passion for a 'zero waste' policy, she has also traversed new horizons for Sri Lanka by having her brand 'ANUK' chosen as '10 of the World's top ethical fashion brands'.
Shaana Dandeniya - Director of Quality Control, Co- Director of Cafe Kumbuk and PLUS NINE FOUR
Shana was born in Australia and brought up in England, Shana recently moved back to Sri Lanka in order to fulfill her entrepreneurial dream. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree studying Creative Advertising at University of the Arts London (LCC), she moved to Sri Lanka and six months later opened Cafe Kumbuk with her mother Dinali. Following the success of Cafe Kumbuk, three years on they opened another cafe by the name of PLUS NINE FOUR. In 2016 Shana set up Quality control - a social media handling/branding consulting agency, spurred on by her studies and social media work for her own cafes. Quality Control now works with 15+ leading design driven clients in Sri Lanka. In 2017 Shana was awarded a Sri Lankan women leadership award as well as 'Top 50 Professional and Career Women in Sri Lanka, Silver Category'.
