Here's a little bit about the speakers!

Kinita Shenoy

Kinita is a Writer, Editor and Communications Specialist. Over the last decade, she’s worked for the IFC (World Bank Group), served as Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolitan Sri Lanka and, as well as written for publications like Conde Nast Traveler and Harper’s Bazaar.

Chani Perera

Chani is a graphic designer exploring the many paths of visual communication. Her main objective is to take part in building an exemplary creative society that inspires, shares, changes and grows in Sri Lanka, so that we can sit in par with the evolving creative community in the world. She curates 'Riot House - A Graphic Design Incubator' and is an Associate Lecturer at Academy of Design.

Alain Parizeau

Alain Parizeau is a storyteller; most of his stories are true. Working as a cross-disciplinary designer educator, Alain Parizeau has worked with progressive, award winning Sri Lankan companies, organizations, and departments including the department of Visual Communication at AOD (Colombo, Sri Lanka), which he directed and led for a decade. Parallel to developing contemporary design courses in Sri Lanka, Alain has been invited to give talks on subjects ranging from visual communication to interface design, and branding to typography at festivals like the Sri Lanka Design Festival, UX Colombo, Disrupt Asia and Design Thinkers in Canada. His commercial work has been featured in print and online publications locally and internationally. In 2016, Parizeau was invited to join the International Society of Typographic Designers as part of their UK educational assessment in London. Currently he is working under the publisher name Public Works, through which, his interest in producing culturally inspired narratives in curation, print, digital media and spaces come alive.
